Cape Collection: The Hobbit Cape

Since I am in college now I don't have much time to finish new projects. So meanwhile I'll be sharing some old projects with you.

I'll start by showing you my cape collection. 

First, my latest and favorite: the Hobbit Cape! My boyfriend named it like that because, when he saw me making it, the color could only make him think of Lord of the Rings and also because I am not that tall! :P

Agora que estou de volta à faculdade não tenho muito tempo para projectos novos. Entretanto vou-vos mostrando alguns projectos mais antigos.

Vou começar por mostrar-vos a minha colecção de capas. 

Primeiro, a mais recente e a minha favorita: a Capa Hobbit! Foi o meu namorado que a baptizou assim, porque a cor o fazia lembrar do Senhor dos Aneís e porque eu não sou muito alta! :P

I used a Burda Style 10/2011 pattern.
Usei um modelo da Burda Style 10/2011.

I used a 90% wool and 10% nylon blend and a stretchy jersey fabric for the lining. 
Usei um tecido de lã (90% lã/10% nylon) e um jersey com elasticidade para o forro.

About the hood: 

I was not very pleased at first, it has a funny shape. But it actually looks best loosed down than most hoods. I guess since I wear it down most of the time it is better that it looks better that way. And when I put it up, in the rain, all I care about is that it protects me! 

Acerca do capuz:

Não fiquei muito satisfeita a princípio, tem uma forma estranha. Mas quando está caído tem melhor aspecto que a maioria dos capuzes. Uma vez que o uso caído a maior parte do tempo talvez seja melhor que tenha um bom aspecto assim. Quando cubro a cabeça, à chuva, o que me interessa é que me proteja!
